Our Beliefs
God
We believe there is one true, living, perfect and holy God, existing in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. We exist to be in loving, worshipful relationship with Him. (Deuteronomy 6:4, Matthew 5:48, Matthew 28:19, 1 John 4:9-11)
Jesus
We believe that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, is truly God and truly man. We believe in His virgin birth, His perfect life, His sacrificial death on the cross as our substitute, His resurrection to life, His ascension to heaven, and His future coming to the earth. We believe He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. (Philippians 2:6-11, Luke 1:34-35, 1 Corinthians 15:3-5, Acts 1:9-11, John 14:6)
Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit is a divine person sent to convince the world of sin, righteousness, judgment, and the truth about Jesus. We believe the Spirit lives in, guides, teaches, and empowers all those who follow Jesus as Lord. (John 14:17, John 14:27, John 16:8-14)
Bible
We believe that the Bible is the word of God, inerrant in the original writings, and inspired by God as a complete revelation of His will for the salvation of humanity. We believe the Bible is our authority in matters of faith and life. (2 Timothy 3:15-16, 2 Peter 1:20-21)
The Gospel
We believe people are created in the image and likeness of God, yet have fallen into sin through disobedience to God’s commands. Therefore, all people are sinful in nature and are separated from a right relationship with God. (Genesis 1:27, Romans 3:23)
We believe there is supremely good news: that salvation and the gift of eternal life with God are available to all people through faith in the sacrificial death and glorious resurrection of Jesus! This good news (the Gospel) sets us free from the penalty of sin and offers us an abundant life of loving God and loving others. (2 Corinthians 5:21, Titus 3:4-7, John 10:10)
Resurrection Life
We believe in the ultimate physical resurrection of believers and unbelievers alike: for the believer, an eternity with God in glory; for the unbeliever, an eternal separation from God. We believe this serves as an incentive to live our lives on a mission to share the good news of Jesus with grace and truth. (Revelation 21:1-8, Titus 2:11-14, Matthew 28:18-20)
