You don’t have
to stay stuck

Christ-centered recovery
offering hope, help, and freedom.

We all experience brokenness – our thoughts and experiences can weigh heavily on us, creating emotional and spiritual barriers. At Re:generation, we believe that anyone can find renewal and freedom by following the steps of healing outlined in the Bible.

What to Expect at Pine Knolls

You will likely hear Re:generation referred to as “re:gen” for short when talking with others. You will work through the 12 steps of Re:generation in small groups, which takes about a year.

There is no need to sign up. Child care is not available during this time.

Tuesday Night Schedule

  • 6:00pm – Large Group (worship, teaching, or testimony)
  • 7:00pm – Open Share Groups (gender specific, mixed issues)

Groundwork Groups (up to 3 months) establish the foundation for change and are the first group you will join. Groundwork is an open group (members can be added each week). The curriculum takes about ten minutes daily.

Step-Groups (approximately 6–8 months) launch after Groundwork is completed and there is demonstrated willingness to participate and move forward. Step-Group curriculum takes about 30 minutes a day. Once established, Step Groups are closed (no new members added).

What Is a Step Group?

A Step Group is a weekly small group where participants:

  • Walk through the 12 steps at a steady, supported pace
  • Learn how the gospel applies to real-life struggles
  • Practice honesty, accountability, and grace
  • Grow through Scripture, reflection, and community

This is discipleship, not therapy or a class.

Who Is It For?

Step Groups are for anyone sensing that something in their life needs healing or change.

Common areas people work on include:

  • Anger or emotional outbursts
  • Anxiety, fear, or worry
  • Control, perfectionism, or people-pleasing
  • Codependency or unhealthy relationships
  • Past trauma, abuse, or grief
  • Addiction (substance, alcohol, pornography, shopping, gambling, etc.)
  • Shame, secrecy, or hiding
  • Overworking, performance, or approval-seeking

If something in your life feels stuck, heavy, or hard to change, a Step Group may be for you.

Do I Need Recovery Experience?

No. Step Groups are designed for people who:

  • Know something in their life isn’t working
  • Are willing to learn and show up

Everything is explained along the way.

What Is Expected of Me?

Participants commit to:

  • Attend weekly Step Group meetings
  • Complete daily Step content during the week
  • Respect confidentiality
  • Engage honestly and with transparency at their own pace
  • Participate with accountability to group members

You are never forced to share before you’re ready.

What Does a Typical Night Look Like

  • 6pm: Large Group – Men and women gather together for worship, teaching or testimony
  • 7pm: Small Groups – same-gender discussion connected to the current step

You are never required to share more than you’re ready to share.

What Happens During Step Group Time?

  • Structured discussion connected to the current step
  • Safe, confidential, same-gender environment
  • No fixing, advice-giving, or pressure to perform

Growth happens over time.

How Does the Daily Content Work?

Between meetings, participants complete daily Step work, including:

  • Scripture reading
  • Teaching or reflection
  • Guided questions or journaling prompts
  • Prayer

Most people spend 15–30 minutes per day.

Consistency matters more than perfection—falling behind happens, and help is available.

When & How Long is it?

Tuesday nights at 6:00 PM

10 months to complete

Re:generation is intentionally unhurried—lasting change takes time.

What Does It Cost?

Step Group materials include five workbooks, used one at a time:

  • $15 per book
  • Purchased as you go (not all at once)
  • Total cost over time: $75

No one is turned away due to financial hardship—assistance is available if needed.

Will I Need a Mentor?

Yes! Each Step Group participant is paired with a trained mentor who will:

  • Check in weekly to answer questions about the current Step
  • Offer encouragement and guidance through challenges
  • Help you stay consistent with your daily Step content
  • Pray with you and provide spiritual support
  • Maintain confidentiality, allowing you to share safely

Mentor support is designed to help you grow at your own pace. You are never forced to share before you’re ready.
